We believe every congregation, no matter how large or small, can and should be involved in the work of New Church Development. Being involved in planting churches gives existing churches an outward focus, a renewed perspective on their own ministries, and a vision for Kingdom advancement that inspires congregational involvement and financial investment. Our goal is to involve every congregation in our Presbytery at a level that is appropriate for them.
Below are the three support levels, which are considered Extra Commitment Giving opportunities. Churches wishing to contribute should demonstrate a financial commitment to Basic Mission Support of Presbyterian Partnership Giving.
Parent Church:
- Sends people from the congregation to be part of a new church
- Contributes $20,000 per year for 3 years to start a new church
- Trains at least 3 leaders to become missional leaders
Partner Church:
- Contributes 1% of your operating budget per year
- Sends at least 1 leader to be trained
- CURRENT PARTNER CHURCHES: First Pres. Bend, Cooper Mountain Presbyterian Fellowship, Sherwood Presbyterian Church
Sponsor Church:
- Commits any amount of your annual budget towards NCD
